But in this age of social media, the perspectives of foreign tourists are also changing. A video of American traveler Tony Klor, who eschewed mainstream tourism, is making headlines on Instagram. He explored the streets of Muzaffarpur, Bihar, eschewing the city’s vibrant atmosphere and enjoying the local flavors and culture. He shared a video that shattered stereotypes about Bihar.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the caption of the video Tony took while roaming the streets of Muzaffarpur, he took a dig at the mindset of today’s travel influencers. Tony wrote,<\/span><\/p>\n

“Today’s travel influencers are just busy copying and pasting the same list of Indian tourist destinations, whereas the real fun and adventure of travelling lies in places like Muzaffarpur.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that he’s confident this city won’t be on any foreigner’s 2026 travel list or bingo card, but in reality, it’s a treasure trove. He praised the people’s warmth, saying, “Here, you don’t need to ask for a lift or help; people come forward to welcome you.”<\/span><\/p>\n

A traditional Bihari wedding left me stunned and I said, “This is truly amazing.”<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

During his trip, the American vlogger visited the historic temples of Muzaffarpur and experienced the spiritual peace there. He also had the unique opportunity to witness a local and traditional Bihari wedding up close. Tony was completely mesmerized by the wedding rituals, colorful costumes, and traditional atmosphere of singing and dancing. Expressing his delight to the camera, he said, “Look how grand, vibrant, and beautiful Bihari weddings are. It’s truly an amazing and unforgettable sight.”<\/span><\/p>\n
